An image from Manhattanhenge 2009. Sun is setting directly down 42nd Street in New York City. I used a neutral density filter (ND .9) and an f-stop of 22 to generate the effect and also the lighter images that make up this shot were long exposures. This is my Blog for images of the many moments and vistas worth capturing. My name is Steve Kelley and I do photography as mudpig. I try to specialize in locations and subjects that are either over-looked or could use another viewpoint. My favorite model, Blizzard (a Komondor) enjoys the photo shoots and I enjoy them as well. HDR images I view as interesting or worth sharing are generally posted to the HDR Pool on flickr.
Currently I live in a hi-rise in Jersey City overlooking Manhattan which has afforded me a wonderful viewpoint of both Jersey City and New York City.
I really appreciate the comments and feedback.
I currently shoot with a Nikon D300 however most of my images prior to June 20th 2008 were shot with a Nikon Coolpix 8700.

The light gives the shot a supernatural aspect which makes it outstanding.
